Mansfield Twp.- Matthew Daniel Breen, 89 of the Homestead Section of Columbus died Wednesday at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Brooklyn, NY he resided in West Caldwell prior to moving to Homestead 17 years ago. He was a US Army veteran serving during the World War 2 and the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1983 after working over 30 years for Industrial Fasteners of New York, NY as a salesman. Wife of the late Rita M. Breen, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law Laraine & Thomas Holmak of Columbus, Sally & Michael O'Malley of Freehold, and Barbara & David Buonocore of Freehold, a brother & sister -in-law William & Helen Breen of Upper Montclair, NJ, a sister & brother-in-law Sally & Maxwell Kleeman of Atlantic Beach, Fl., and a grandson Christopher Hageman of Freehold. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday July 8th, 2003 at 10am from St. Mary's RC Church 45 Crosswicks Street Bordentown City. Burial will follow in the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ. There will no calling hours. The family requests memorial contributions made in his memory to Memorial Hospital Foundation 175 Madison Avenue, Mount Holly, NJ 08060.
