Irene Bertothy

Bordentown - Irene Bertothy, 88, of Bordentown died Tuesday at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. She had resided in the Bordentown area for many years. The wife of the late Louis Bertothy and mother of the late Robert "Bomber" Bertothy, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Paul Walter of Cream Ridge, with whom she recently resided, and Joan and Ronald Mayer of Bordentown; a sister, Helen Schwoebel of Burlington, two sisters-in-law Alyce Hreha of Trenton and Elizabeth Bertothy of PA, a daughter-in-law Sharon Bertothy of Bordentown; 6 grandchildren Donna, Edward and John Walter, Jennifer Drummond, Robert Bertothy, Jr., and Kristie Mayer, 3 great grandchildren Mackenzie and Alexander Drummond and Anthony Rosario-Mayer and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and Altar Rosary Society, Bordentown Township Senior Citizens, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the German-American Society of Yardville. She was an avid Phillies fan, and enjoyed playing bingo and watching TV game shows. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown with interment to follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Trenton. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 9 P.M. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown.
