Merle E. Carty

Chesterfield - Merle E. Carty, 85, of Chesterfield Twp. died Thursday at her home. Born in Burlington she had resided most of her life in the Columbus-Bordentown area. She was a member of the Hedding United Methodist Church, the Bordentown Senior Citizens and the Columbus Grange. She was a former employee of Herman's Grocery Store in Columbus. The wife of the late Norman F. Carty, she is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Marjorie and Bob Parker of Springfield Twp. and Janice and Charles Jones of Chesterfield, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. from the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown with burial to follow in the Columbus Cemetery.
