Dr. Robert G. Arenge, Ed.D.

 Mansfield Township- Dr. Robert G. Arenge, Ed.D., 56 passed away peacefully Friday at home, after a courageous battle with a brain tumor; his beloved family was by his side.  “Dr. Bob” was born and raised in Garfield, NJ. He resided in Bordentown Township before moving to Mansfield Township in 1985.  Bob graduated from Garfield High School in 1968; undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park in 1972; graduate degree from Glassboro State College; doctorate degree from Temple University.  Dr. Bob was employed by the Pemberton Township School system for over 31 years as an educator and administrator.  Bob served his community as a member of the Mansfield Township Board of Education; Mansfield Township Environmental Commission; Mansfield Township recreation where he coached soccer, basketball, softball, and baseball; member of the Concerned Citizens of Mansfield Township. Bob enjoyed swimming, pinochle, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.  Bartending, cooking, and entertaining were his passion as well as spending time with good friends. He was known for his margaritas, wine, Wildwood trips, and the Upper Crust Pub. Bob was passionate for life.  He loved his children, Andrew and Gabby, and his wife Judy.  Son of the late Rosario and Amelia Maik Arenge; he is survived by his beloved family his wife Judy; son Andrew and daughter Gabby all of Mansfield Twp.; mother in law Marie Salay of Hamilton; brothers in law John Salay and spouse Peggy of Florida, Joe Salay and spouse Elizabeth of Arizona, and Greg Salay of Hamilton; a sister in law Linda and spouse Ted of Hamilton; two aunts Elaine J. Munn of Cinnaminson, and Irene Lawlor and spouse Richard of Jamesburg; several special nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 11am from the Huber-Moore Funeral Home 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4pm & 6-9pm, and Wednesday from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are requested in Bob’s memory to either Compassionate Care Hospice 600 Highland Drive, Suite 624, Westampton, NJ 08060 or the American Cancer Society.
