Irving Theron Blanchard Lawrenceville Irving Theron Blanchard, 82, of Lawrenceville passed away Tuesday, December 18th at Capital Health Systems @ Helene Fuld in Trenton, NJ. Born in Braintree, VT, he formerly resided in Freehold & Hightstown before moving to Lawrenceville 15 years ago. He was in the US Navy as a Sonarman 2nd class from 1945 to 1949. He was last employed by Kimberly-Clark in Spotswood, NJ as a machine operator. Irving was a lifetime member of the VFW 3525 of Hamilton. He was an avid New York Mets fan, he loved salt water fishing and he also enjoyed carpentry. Son of the late Fred L. & Viva Mae Adams Blanchard and brother of the late Barbara Lee; he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Diana Blanchard of Lawrenceville; four sons & three daughters-in-law, Danny F. & Diane Blanchard of Mercerville, Donald J. & LuAnn Blanchard of New York, David D. Blanchard of Trenton, and Douglas A. & Linda Blanchard of Columbus; two brothers, Stillman F. Blanchard of Missouri and Smith M. Blanchard of Florida; a sister, Ivis Braker of Freehold, NJ; three grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, and David Blanchard; and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, December 22 from 2PM-4PM with a memorial service at 3PM at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown, NJ. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army-National Headquarters, PO Box 269, Alexandria, VA 22313. |
