Alice J. Lekas Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alice J. Lekas, 96, of the LeisureTowne section of Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2022, at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice, Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Alice resided in Tabernacle, NJ, most of her life before moving to LeisureTowne in 2005. Alice enjoyed cooking and taking care of family and friends. Wife of the late Victor Lekas; sister of the late, Albert Reyers, Howard Reyers, and Lillian Oswald; she is survived by her children and their spouses, Victor A. Lekas (Wendy), Carol L. Batten (Paul), and Diana L. Cawood (James) her loving partner, Robert G. Familiar and his children, Jo Ann Sullivan (Mitch), Robert F. Familiar (Mandy), Patricia Harris, and Paul Familiar (Dawnie); his 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Hornberger; her grandchildren, Russell S. Batten (Maggie), Alexander V. Lekas, and Anna L. Batten; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 10-11AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 11AM, at the funeral home.
