Cecilia C. Bigham

Cecilia C. Bigham, 84, of Browns Mills, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Capital Health Medical Center in Trenton, NJ. She was born on April 12, 1937, in Niedersfeld, Germany, to the late Ernest and Monika Tuss. Cecilia was a member of Browns Mills Baptist Church. Cecilia was a member of the Eastern Star in New Brunswick, NJ. She enjoyed antiquing and thrifting and had an extensive Hummels collection. She was loved for her fire and fierce German spirit that set her apart and was passed down to each of her children. Everyone knew she would speak her mind no matter what, even to the end. But laced with that passion was a love for God that transformed her and her husband’s lives and those of her children and children’s children. Today her children rise up and call her blessed. At last she is reunited with her granddaughter Sarah, her parents, little sister Johanna, and so many more. She will light up Heaven with that feistiness, restored again to her mind and body. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Sarah Pinto. Cecilia is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James L. Bigham; her children, James A. Bigham (Sue), Franz Mahler (Marie), Maria M. Folzman (Michael), Christopher Mahler (Michelle), and Michelle Pinto (Scott); 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ernest Tuss; and her sisters, Anna Habben and Elli Kelm. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am, on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Odd Fellows Cemetery II, 217 Odd Fellows Rd, Pemberton, NJ 08068.
