Genevieve Jencarelli

June 18, 1932 - March 25, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Genevieve Jencarelli, age 89, of Columbus, NJ formerly of Rutherford, NJ. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on March 25, 2022. She was born in Jersey City, NJ to Bernard and Stephanie Caruso on June 18, 1932, the youngest of two, and sister of her deceased brother Joseph Caruso. She was preceded in death by her husband Santo Jencarelli in 2005, as well as by her son Michael. Genevieve is survived by her son Thomas and Michele Hinczynski of Columbus, NJ. As a single mother, she spent most of her time with her family, playing cards, and doing puzzles, with the occasional night on the town, going dancing with her friends or out with her husband Santo. Another of her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren Mark, Bryan, Lindsey, and Danielle Grochmal, whom she adored. She had great joy of watching them grow up’ prouder with every accomplishment they achieved. Genevieve was a devout Catholic who prayed daily and lived with God close to her heart. For that we know that she is now with him and all her beloved in Heaven. Relatives and friends may attend her visitation on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 5-8 PM at Huber-Moore Funeral Home 517 Farnsworth Ave, Bordentown, NJ 08505. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29th at 11:00 AM at Queen of Peace RC Church, 10 Franklin Place, North Arlington, NJ. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Genevieve’s memory may be made to a charity dear to your heart.
