John Peter Canale Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John Peter Canale, 89, of Tabernacle, NJ, beloved husband, father, brother and uncle, passed away on Wednesday, July, 27, 2022 surrounded by his family. John has been a resident of Tabernacle for over 60 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired after almost two decades from the State of NJ Department of Transportation. John was a communicant of Holy Eucharist Church and enjoyed participating in the annual Pine Barrens Festival. He was a true outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. To his wife and daughters, the most important thing in life was his family. Nothing meant more to him than being surrounded by his family whether it be at a small gathering or large family event. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Rose and a brother Al. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Joan , 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Janet Canale and Jennifer Canale-Tomlinson and her husband Fred, a brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Charlotte Canale, and 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna Mae and George Wade and Catherine and Don Bozarth, as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and many friends. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, August 1, 2022, from 9 to 11 AM, at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Road, Tabernacle, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM, at the church. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hainesport, NJ. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mathis Funeral Home, Medford, NJ.
